In recent years, automotive technology has seen a rapid growth. Moreover, the SUV sector has gained more popularity due to its off-roading capabilities, practicality and great performance. Every new model that enters the market features some tech advancement that makes it stand out from other cars.
When I was planning to buy a new SUV this year, I came across many options. Some of them were good in terms of looks whereas some were loaded with tech and other features. After doing a thorough research and taking most of them out on a test drive to get the real experience, I decided to go for the Renault CAPTUR, which for me was a perfect blend of style and performance.
Here’s my overall experience with the car till date and what it offers:
When I first saw the CAPTUR, it caught my attention. The distinctive design details on the outside give it a bold look, whereas the ultra-premium interiors deliver unmatched comfort. The R17 Crystal Cut alloys and chrome studded front grille accentuate the car’s dynamic lines while the chrome jewel body side cladding and chrome accents on the rear embellisher and exhaust, add a touch of flair.
The Renault CAPTUR features an Innovative Lighting System (ILS), which brings a new dimension to automotive illumination. It comprises of segment-first Sparkle Full LED headlamps that produce an enhanced light output, while being highly energy efficient. It also extends to the iconic C-shaped Sapphire LED DRLs, unique Floating Indicators, Ripple tail lamps and LED ambient lighting on the inside. Moreover, it brings to life the One Integration concept that seamlessly connects car and driver with a Smart Access Card. The best-in-class ground clearance of 210 mm helps take on any terrain with ease.
When I sat inside to take the car out for a spin, it gave me a sense of sophistication and comfort. The 6-way adjustable Ergo Design Leather Seats* offered ample legroom in both the front and back rows, ensuring a relaxed drive. Other state-of-the-art technology features like the Intelligent ULC 3.0 with rear parking camera and advanced Infinity Instrument Cluster enhance the overall driving experience. Moreover, the thoughtful storage spaces can carry more luggage without hesitation. The interiors are complemented by convenient storage areas and a boot space of 0.392 m3 (392 litre) that can pack everything that’s needed for a perfect outing.
It makes sure that the driving safety is never compromised. The Renault CAPTUR features state-of-the-art technology that makes driving effortless, in all road conditions. Advanced features like ABS + EBD + Brake Assist, ESC and a reinforced body shell for increased torsional rigidity ensures a safe ride.
I’ve been driving this car for the last six months and it has never let me down. I’ve taken it to my native place in Tamil Nadu twice and did one road trip to the North East. Trust me; my journey wouldn’t have been this easy and comfortable without the CAPTUR by my side. For me, it’s surely one of the best cars to buy in India.
